Please contact the Law & Legislation committee and let them know that they cannot limit access to medical marijuana patients. We need emails, faxes, phone calls, and people to speak at every Law & Legislation meeting whether we are on the agenda or not. We must be heard!
Here is a copy of the link to the purposed legislation:

Unbelievable. Those on the City Council must not understand the economics of keeping these clinics open. Just how much revenue could be derived from these ‘clinics’? How much to get us out of debt and back to black! ? (of course it will take years). How much can be put aside for a rainy day, the spending to be voted on by the people? Think about it! Not-for-Profit Clinics giving the money to the city. (working for the city!)
The criminals who PROFIT from selling their ILLEGAL wares on the street won’t have buyers. Innocent and not-so-innocent people won’t be hurt or killed. The police will have the opportunity to go after REAL criminals. Fight real crime. Catch real bad guys.
It’s time to put progressive people on the city council. New blood is needed. I was born and raised here, a true Sacramentan. I’m okay with outsiders referring to our city as a one-horse town. I’ve been somewhat saisfied with the transformation downtown (now is the time to apologize for the mistake of tearing up K St. You know, when Woolworth’s was still on the corner.) has undergone. Let’s move California into the 21st Century.
California used to be the state everyone wanted to come to. Not anymore. Our financial problems are not just the Democrats spending (on OUR issues), but the Republicans giving themselves and their family & friends pay raises or a seat on ridiculous “boards” and “committees” payroll. I’ve heard people from other states call California a laughing stock. Frankly, I don’t want to admit I’m from here when the powers-that-be do dumb s*** like this. Even talk about things like this.
Mayor Kevin Johnson–How can you allow this to happen? Do you plan on LOSING the revenue these clinics could generate? Legally? You know it’s just a matter of time before the gays can marry and the mediciinal use of marijuana will be legal? Put us on the map for something other than our problems. Make California the LEADER once again!

True. I’ll be announcing when we (the dispensaries) will be organizing a protest at city hall. It looks like sometime in January. And we’re going to need as many people out there making their voice be heard.

Nice post & nice blog. I love both.

The turnout was mediocre; we can do better. We plan to attend one legislative meeting per month, and we’d like you the patients to get involved too. Any ordinance will affect everyone in the medicinal marijuana community. So please get in touch with us and we’ll add you to the contact list, keeping you up to date on meeting and special events.
