The city of Sacramento is threatening to shut down SHHC!

Please contact the Law & Legislation committee and let them know that they cannot limit access to medical marijuana patients. We need emails, faxes, phone calls, and people to speak at every Law & Legislation meeting whether we are on the agenda or not. We must be heard!

Blue Dream Sativa Outdoor

This Blue Dream is relatively fast acting. It’s not the “Wake up the house is on fire”, but definitely dreamy, very dreamy. The taste is somewhat of a floral essence that lingers with undertones of spice. This is one of the most exotic blends of aromas from ginger to myrrh or mild frankincense. When I first opened the package up I was taken by this unusual scent. At first I thought it had been adulterated but no, it’s another nice variation of Blue Dream which actually does better indoors like Lavender and Snow Cap but not bad for outdoor. Cerebral and calm.

Grand Daddy Purple Hashish Indica

Grand Daddy Purple Hash, one of the best things about good hashish is a little goes a long way. Fresh as mom’s apple pie. This hash is sticky like taffy and so black it shines purple! This G.D.P. strikes again as a superb hashish. Instant medicating effects (well almost). This is an Indica so be aware this is very potent. Yes, you will cough.This hash is very lung flexing so be cautions when inhaling and take in small inhalations.

It’s very fruity and has that purple essence, sweet and bending towards that grape flavor. I definitely recommend this hashish for patients with extreme health issues from pain suppression to sleeplessness. This is something to always have a bit in your medicine chest. I also recommend this for overcoming or masking some of those nasty flu symptoms you just don’t want to feel. Instead of smoking it try sipping it in a tea using small increments in boiling water with a bit of sugar or honey. Sip it all day long while recovering from a cold or flu. It does help.

Thank you Sacramento Valley A.I.D.S. Run/Walk Participants

We wish to thank all those who participated in this years Sacramento Valley A.I.D.S Run/Walk. For myself it was a sacrifice but a small one to pay to participate in something as rewarding and satisfying as this event. Living with full blown A.I.D.S. for 23 years I have my good days and bad but this day I felt well enough to be there. No Excuses!

First of all there was a very good turn out. Families, children, and young adults were everywhere and all in a very positive mood for a chilly early Sunday morning. Excitement filled the air before, during, and after the race and walk. Booths provided anything from health information to foods and beverages for all those who participated. Sacramento Holistic Healing Center had our own booth selling t-shirts to benefit the Sacramento AIDS Fund and outreach education about medical marijuana and our dispensary. All in all, we raised over $10,000 this year. Thank you to everyone that donated their time or money. “With a little bit of love and a lot of compassion lives change”.

Even though I was in my wheelchair I felt good inside to be a part of a beautiful and moving event. I was even more moved by all the big, kind hearts of the fun loving folks from our staff that came and supported this event and cause.

Next year we hope to see more patients come and join Team S.H.H.C. to support our brothers and sisters with A.I.D.S.. For all those who participated representing Team S.H.H.C., thank you very much for showing your support, sharing your time, and by giving to help others in need. All your smiling hearts were appreciated. TEAM S.H.H.C. rocked the event! See you in 2010!

Jack Frost or Frosty the Snowman! Tis the season and I’ll tell you these are some of the most frost bitten (but in a good way!) buds I have seen in quite sometime!

Frosted buds for all connoisseurs of the Kush family known for their fine strong medicinal attributes and exotic aromas and flavors. Yes, it truly does have a blackberry essence somewhat fruity but a bit more. This Kush is best smoked in a digital vaporizer or water bong. The buds are extremely dense, sticky and very resinous so when breaking down the Kush clumps and seem more of a waste to use it rolled. I further enjoyed the fact that this supreme Blackberry Kush was grown to full zenith and not a moment too soon which gives  its rich aroma, incredible flavor and of course that medicinal attributes true Kush is known for. Bless that farmer who growes for love and not for time is money and profit. I enjoy the wonderful qualities and attributes of the varied Kush’s from Platinum to Cherry Kush or Master Kush. Kush’s have a nice hard hitting effect when it comes to pain suppression or sleep deprivation  or with eating disorders. Kush will help, it helps many people including myself. Double the Love!

Each year our goal is to double the number of children we gift and bless. This being our first year, we have 11 children and 2 adults (2 families in need). Next year we’ll have 22, and the next 33, and so forth.

We are busy baking Christmas goodies for St. John’s Shelter for the homeless women and children in the Sacramento vicinity. S.H.H.C. is also planning to gift some of them with gift baskets, and for the younger ones, stockings full of Christmas cheer and presents too. Making Christmas special for some of those in need.

You can donate money in the marked jars at our counters or bring a new gift for a child or something you might want to get a homeless women. These items might include gloves, scarves, warm hats, socks, sweaters, etc. Please drop them in our “Gift of Love” tub!

Lambs Bread Sativa

During the 70s and 80s often I would be fortunate to come across Jamaican herb. Sweet is this Jamaican wonder, peppery and a rich dark green. Then I came upon Lambs Bread. It was orange in color, a faded orange like the gold of the gold Columbian. This was truly orange herb! The buds were several inches long with a smattering of deep red hairs. The aroma and the taste were truly magnificent. I learned from my Rastafarian Jamaican friends that Lambs Bread is the top of the harvest. It is an offering to Jah of the best grown around the mountain. The mountain people get together at harvest to bless their crops with the spirit of all mighty Jah, the Bread (sacrifice/offering to the Lamb of God) Christ Jah. So as I sit and reminisce of the past I now am sampling Lambs Bread light daytime happy herb well cut and trimmed light fluffy buds not like of yesteryear. Still with the trade mark long deep red hairs and a unique green color that somewhat smiles at you with delight.  One can’t beat this herb for the price. For daytime medicating not used to or would not care for heavy medicating effects light and breezy like the winds of Jamaica try some Lambs Bread good for smoking or cooking nice and mild.

What’s ultra black and shiny with a offset sour odor when burning but tastes like a cross between a floral bouquet, candy, and sour musk? You’re all wrong! It’s Frankenstein hash! A unique mix of odd scents, odors, and look. Definitely this is a good choice for connoisseurs. It medicates quite well, not too heavy yet mild enough for day use and strong enough to give relief immediately.

Healthier bodies, calmer minds, and healthy lifestyles are what it’s all about.

Hindu Kush Hashish Indica

Traveling the world as I have during times in my life I have come across some of the most notorious and unique Hashish from the late 1960’s, during the 1970’s, then by the 1980’s Hash was basically non-existent except in places of origin or in Amsterdam. The Hindu Kush Hash is very reminiscent of what was referred to as water base “PRIMO “or some high quality Lebanese. During the recent decade hashish has become very popular and as varied in types and processes as how it is being made. With such diverse strains of cannabis grown in northern California, (bottom of the Emerald Triangle) it’s no wonder we are pumping out some of the best Hash I believe this world has seen to date. This hashish included!

These leafy golden hued buds are truly popcorn in sized fluffy, fuzzy, and pack a mild punch. Good for those who want a mild response to medicating. This would also be good for making butter. This AFGOO tastes better in a vaporizer and water bong. This batch of Popcorn AFGOO I recommend for daytime medicating because of its mild effects.
